     CrossRoads will have our annual meeting on Thursday, November 17th.  All members are urged to attend.  Don't miss the social at 5 p.m. and the dinner at 6 p.m.  Agenda:  - Report of the past year - Election of three directors - Miscellaneous business.  The golf course will remain open for golfing until otherwise announced by our manager, Renae Johnson.

     Join Crossroads Auto Buyers and HiWay Off Sales at their creative Glow Ball Golf Tourney!  Golfing starts at 8:30 p.m. with glow balls, food and prizes provided.  There will even be a prize for the best decorated golf cart! Sounds like great fun!   The event is limited to 18 teams of four, so get registered soon.  You will be golfing the first nine holes at a cost of $25 per person.  Sign up at CrossRoads Golf Course right away, and have fun golfing in the dark on September 24th!

Two More Aces at CrossRoads Golf

     Two Carrington golfers each scored a hole-in-one at CrossRoads Golf Club last week.

     On Wednesday, August 10, Brad Skytland aced the par 3, 193-yard, hole number 17 with a 6 iron.

     Witnesses were Brian Duchscherer and Dave Koland.

     Alan Willyard, after 30 years of golfing, scored his first ace on Thursday, August 11 on hole number 12.

     His shot came on the par 3, 130-yard hole while golfing with Olaf Ringerud and Bill Zink.

     The two last week, combined with a couple earlier in the year, make four aces on the local 18 for the 2011 golf season.

Health Center Auxiliary Sets Golf Tournament: August 8

     Carrington Health Center Auxiliary is planning their second golf tournament to be held on Monday, August 8.  Cost for the tournament will be $40.00 per person or $160.00 for a four-man team.

     This cost will include your golf fees, hole prizes and door prizes along with the evening meal.

     The proceeds from this tournament will go towards the purchase of a Prapaq Monitor for the Carrington Health Center Ambulance.  This device monitors vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm and respiration.  It can be used on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.

     This monitor will accurately and reliably show vital signs even in a moving ambulance.  It's very lightweight and portable and can also be used while the patient is transferred to and from the ambulance.
